Wayland Preference Dialogs resize mechanism inconsistent (top edge moves when bottom edge is adjusted)
Feature summary
I noted that when moving the bottom edge of a preference dialog, the top edge of the dialog also moves in opposite direction. If I move the corner down to enlarge the window, the top edge goes up. If I move the corver up, the top edge goes down. This behaviour looks extremely odd and is inconsistent with the resizing mechanism for other windows. I also noticed that if I log in using Xorg, the preference windows behave normally.
I initially thought that this was a bug Ubuntu but was subsequently told that it it "normal" behaviour and should be commented upstream instead. I also confirmed it on a separate Debian install.
How would you like it to work
If I grab the bottom corner, only the bottom edge should move, not the top like in Xorg or with every other windows.
Temporary Workaround
Normal behaviour can achieved by running:
gsettings set org.gnome.shell.overrides attach-modal-dialogs false
gsettings set org.gnome.mutter attach-modal-dialogs false
I however believe that is should be set like this by default. Since it is inconsistent with the way other windows resize, I am wondering if this is a design choice or simply something which was set incorrectly?
