Add animation when connecting an external monitor
Feature summary
Currently when connecting an external monitor, gnome-shell does not show any kind of feedback (notification, pop-up, etc.). It simply extends or duplicates the monitor image, whose options can be modified via keyboard shortcut (super+P) or in Display setting in Control Center.
In Windows version 11, something they have done well is to add animations that provide clear feedback and are quite intuitive, such as when connecting a new external monitor. This looks like something that gnome-shell can do as well and goes in the same direction as it has shown in its latest builds.
How would you like it to work
I don't know if the best option here is to make an exact copy of what Windows 11 does, but adding a zoom-in/zoom-out animation when an external monitor is connected seems like a good idea, but when you change options like screen mirroring or extend screen, you can simply show a pop-up when the selected option is activated (pop-up as volume/brightness) or repeat the animation for a shorter time as in Windows 11.
