GNOME does not detect duplicate keybindings
Hello,
In the past I had problem with custom keybindings under Wayland sesssion, so now returned back to GNOME and use Xorg session.
After configuring several keyboard keybindings for switching to specific workspace:
gsettings get org.gnome.desktop.wm.keybindings switch-to-workspace-1
['<Super>1']
I noticed that pressing the above keybinding still launches favorite application, iow. despite of defining the above keybinding (using dconf-editor
) I have checked:
org.gnome.shell.keybindings switch-to-application-1
and it was still showing "default" keybinding ['<Super>1']
and I had to manually cleared it to []
.
So, I believe that GNOME should do more thorough checking for duplicate keybindings, otherwise I like that the GNOME DE is so keyboard-friendly.
Sincerely,
Gour
