Shuffle feature for desktop wallpaper
Feature summary
Dear developers,
I just wanted to kindly request a "shuffle" feature for wallpapers.
I'm aware that Shotwell can do this, but such a simple function should be a function of the Desktop Environment itself, not a specific application running on it. That way, it'd be independent of the user's choice of photo editing/archiving software.
How would you like it to work
In GNOME Settings -> Wallpapers, there is a button "add image". (translated from German, so actual name might vary a little)
Complement it with a new button "add folder" and a slider for the time interval.
Then, all images in $folder will be randomly used as wallpaper, with the image changing every $interval.
Relevant links, screenshots, screencasts etc.
(none)
Thank you very much! :) Sebastian
