System unresponsive after being suspended several times.
Affected version
Fedora 34
GNOME Shell 40.2
Wayland
Kernel: 5.12.12-300.fc34.x86_64
AMDGPU driver on AMD RX 6800
Bug summary
After suspending several times (~5 - 10) the display remains blank upon waking, and a hard reset is required to fix the bug. I'm not sure if it's related to the relatively new graphics hardware (or its driver). It may be worth noting that the bug has been present since at least gnome 3.38.
Steps to reproduce
- Boot into a Gnome Wayland desktop session.
- Suspend several times.
- Eventually the display will no longer turn on.
What happened
The display fails to wake, and system is unresponsive.
What did you expect to happen
To have the display wake, and lock screen appear.
