Gnome 40 is big mistake
Well, let say, we have for example displej with ratio 32x9, now we have dash/dock at bottom, workspaces at top, and application menu in ultra-narrow strip, it look ugly, but is even more horrible to use. Gnome 40 need to revert some changes to Gnome 3 like, because well, 99% of desktop displejs are landscape, so we have a lot of space on sides, where dash/dock and workspaces (like in Gnome 3) can be, but we don't have space at bottom or top, so why, why?! Do You do this horrible unlogical change? Horizontal workspaces, mistake that I don't understand, but now when someone has 3 monitor he has 3x4 matrix of desktops, in Gnome 40 user will has 1x12 matrix?! WTF?! WHY?! Desktop is not mobile, so why You do changes to let desktop be like mobile with UI/UX. Well, let say, I use Windows List, if dash/dock will be at bottom, where I can put that Windows List? At side? It contain text, so it will be how? From up to down oriented text, like in Japanase? Hello I'm in Europe?! So don't do changes in UI/UX that are totally unlogical only because You want to change something that works fine, because it's "old"... it can be old, but it's good, so why change it?!!! Gnome 3 UI/UX is best experience I ever had in how effectively I was using desktop. But after these changes, I really think this will be horrible. And I need to not forget that preview windows in workspaces are totally randomly places and it looks totally horible. Why it's not at least in grid?!
Btw. also change in menu where You can turn off PC You did in newest versions in Gnome 3 is horrible, much much much more missclicks, because of fucking context menu instead buttons like it was in older versions in Gnome 3... I don't even know how often I restarted or get computer to sleep, instead of turning it off.
Please, please, think about what You do and if it's good way to do it. Or at least give use option to change Gnome 40 to Gnome 3 like UI/UX, so it will have verticall workspaces, dash at left, workspaces on right side, and application scrollable vertically. And bring back buttons to menu, instead of context menu.
You now read my opinion, I hope You will think about it, and propably consider some changes, or at least give use some gsettings to change it to Gnome 3 like. Thanks if yes.
