Dash icons broken when using multi dpi setup with experimental fractional scaling, with scaled monitor on left of non scaled monitor.
Affected version
Provide at least the following information:
- Arch Linux
- 3.38.2
- Wayland
Bug summary
If I use fractional scaling, and have one monitor scaled, other not. And scaled monitor shares left border of non scaled monitor, then shortly after entering the overview, the icons of the dash become broken.
Then if I mouse over the icons, they update to look correctly. (However only one at a time).
The issue repeats after closing and entering the overview again.
This only happens when the scaled monitor is on the left of the non-scaled one. Doesn't happen in any other positioning.
I also tried a Fedora 33 live usb, and the behavior was exactly the same.
Steps to reproduce
- Have 2 monitors
- Use fractional scaling on one of them, for example 125
- Position them so that the scaled one is on the left of the non-scaled one, and that they share a side (touching in the corners doesn't work)
- Open overview
What happened
The icons were oversized, positioned wrongly in the dash.
What did you expect to happen
Them to look correctly.
