Notifications pops over GTK's file chooser dialog filename input field

Old:

Sorry for broad title, but I don't know where to go with these. The problem is with saving window.

  1. When I'm saving a file i.e from scanner app and in meantime I'm getting notification, it pops over name field. I would expect notification to be turned off for that, or window to be created slightly beneath notification field.
  2. When I got two screens with different resolutions and I'm saving a file on a smaller screen window scales up to larger screen and top part of window is unreachable. Gnome doesn't switch monitors for window when I use super + shift.

Both issues are quite irritating and recurring theme for me. I'm testing these on Fedora 33 with X11.

New:

Affected version

  • Fedora 33
  • gnome-shell-3.38.1-2.fc33.x86_64
  • Checked only on xorg

Bug summary

Notifications pops over GTK's file chooser dialog filename field. File chooser seems to be scaled to primary monitor, and cannot be rescaled.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open file chooser,
  2. receive notification.

What happened

Notifications pops over GTK's file chooser dialog filename field.

What did you expect to happen

File chooser dialog filename field should be visible.

Relevant logs, screenshots, screencasts etc.
