Double-click on a desktop app shortcut doesn't deselect the shortcut
Affected version
Ubuntu 20.04.1
GNOME 3.36.2
GNOME extensions: dash-to-panel 39
Xorg 7.7+19ubuntu14
Bug summary
Starting an app from its desktop shortcut should deselect the shortcut icon after double-clicking on it, because it lets the user know that the double-click was registered (as opposed to a single click) and the application is starting.
This makes a difference if the app is slow to start, since I'm not sure anymore whether I should double-click again or not.
Steps to reproduce
Double-click on the home folder icon in the GNOME desktop.
What happened
The icon remains selected after the double-click (it still has a rounded rectangle around it).
What did you expect to happen
The rounded rectangle should disappear once the application begins starting up.
