Panel clock time not updated after playing fullscreen video
Affected version
Fedora 33 (development/branched) pre-release
GNOME Shell 3.37.90-2.fc33
Issue appears in both XOrg and Wayland
Bug summary
After playing a video fullscreen in VLC, Celluloid, etc., when the video ends and the user returns to the desktop, the clock in the panel shows a wrong, earlier time. This persists until either the minute changes, or the pointer is manually hovered over or clicked on the clock.
Steps to reproduce
- Login to GNOME Shell (XOrg or Wayland).
- Play a video of significant duration (~50 minutes or more) in VLC or Celluloid, in fullscreen mode.
- Return to the desktop after the video plays entirely and ends.
- Without touching anything, see that the panel clock is showing a wrong time.
What happened
The panel clock shows a wrong time after a fullscreen video plays entirely in VLC or Celluloid and ends.
What did you expect to happen
The panel clock should always show the correct time, irrespective of multimedia playback, etc.
