Gnome shell freezes because of bug in firefox (skipping in some videos)
Affected version
Linux 5.7.7-200.fc32.x86_64 fedora 32 GNOME Shell 3.36.3 both under wayland & xorg. Wayland was tested with both firefox in wayland and x11 mode
Bug summary
A certain bug in firefox causes the entire gnome shell to freeze. This does not happen in mate, also on fedora32, although the firefox bug itself is still present there. Firefox bug report here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1645698
Sometimes firefox briefly freezes, and then crashes, which makes gnome shell responsive again. Sometimes it stays frozen.
The system itself is still responsive during gnome-shell being frozen, meaning that i can still ssh into the system and execute all kinds of commands.
Other people have reproduced this bug on ubuntu and on debian (see linked bug report).

It froze
What did you expect to happen
I expect gnome shell not to freeze, even when there are bugs in gui programs. Gnome shell should be able to deal with unresponsive or buggy programs.
