Applications padding break and space wastage when dash is at bottom with increased size
Affected version
gnome version : 3.36.4
Bug summary
When dash is the bottom it breaks the applications launcher shell design. But it is more gnome's design problem. when using dash to panel extension(with panel at the bottom and panel size set to 128) and launching applications the applications shell area shrink from bottom because of dash's size which break the padding around applications when hovering and around application folder. Also there is space wastage on the sides.
Steps to reproduce
- install and enable dash to panel extension
- set panel to the bottom
- set size to 128
- launch applications
What happened
I am aware that extension is not provided by the gnome team. The issue is that when application shell area shrinks from bottom it break the design of the application shell as padding gets distorted and there is lot of space wastage.
What did you expect to happen
Why the dash be visible when applications are presented?? The expected behaviour should be that the original applications shell should not change. It shall remain unaltered no matter what dash's size is used. The dash should be hidden when the applications are shown this will solve the problem.
