Atspi.generate_keyboard_event() does not work on Wayland
Affected version
Gnome Shell 3.36.3 (Arch Linux) running in Wayland mode
Bug summary
Atspi.generate_keyboard_event()
does not work on Wayland. I just test this function of Atspi
, which works perfectly in Xorg mode. Also, I am not sure it's a bug or a feature working in process on Wayland.
Steps to reproduce
- download the test-atspi.zip and extract it to
~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/
;
//...
this._stroke('Super_L t e s t Control_L+a Control_L+c Control_L+v Control_L+v');
//...
- enale it and click the menu item to test
What happened
Nothing happened in Wayland mode
What did you expect to happen
It acts like what is supposed to do (in Xorg mode) and leaves testtest
in search box, which is what I expect to happen in Wayland mode
