Bug summary
It sometimes happens that the "Show Applications" overview animation is shown, without being triggered by the user.
Steps to reproduce
- Set up your desktop in the way described
- Play a full-screen video on the primary display, or resize some window on the primary display, or ???
- ??? (might be tough to reproduce)
What happened
The "Show Applications" overview animation starts without being triggered by the user, as described in the bug summary.
This only lasts a fraction of a second. Out of nowhere, the application icons emerge from the bottom-left corner and fly over the screen and anything that is shown on it, but before they position themselves into their grid they usually vanish again, all at once and suddenly.
It might be the case that I have only seen this happen after I edited .desktop file(s) in /home/myuser/.local/share/applications
during the same session, but I am not 100% sure about this.
What did you expect to happen
Well, nothing while there is no user input, or at any rate no input that has any business of triggering the applications overview.
Relevant logs, screenshots, screencasts etc.
Since the occurrence is rare and the effect passes so quickly I do not have a screenshot or screencast.
