User select button change at log in
Affected version
- OS: Arch
- gnome-shell 3.36 (Since first upgrade)
- Wayland
Bug summary
I get annoyingly odd button for selecting user when I boot up computer. Username on button consists of three letters and three dots, and I get scroll bar on right side of user button, despite having just one user account on computer.
Steps to reproduce
- Extract the existing GNOME Shell theme
- Edit gnome-shell.css. In /* Global Values */ section you should change font-size smaller than 11p. This issue happens only when you use smaller font size. In case of use of larger font size there is no problem.
- compile theme with glib-compile-resources gnome-shell-theme.gresource.xml
- Replace new gnome-shell-theme.gresource file with an old one
- Restart.
Problem can be reversed back (fixed) if you repeat steps and use font size 11p or larger.
What happened
Button for user selection looks odd.
What did you expect to happen
Change font size only, not to change basic design of user selection button.
