Notification list can potentially grow ad infinitum
The script attached in issue #139 raises some concerns. It manages to subvert gnome-shell into keeping an ever growing list of notifications, that won't disappear until "Clear all" is clicked.
I guess it gets hard to exploit this without the user noticing, but could potentially lead to OOM from application-facing api entry points.
I'm really certain on what to propose to mitigate this though. Ideas coming to mind are:
- A (high) hard upper limit on the number of notifications
- Additionally, some queueing to keep minimal data till we explode that into notification widgetry. If just ignoring notifications is undesirable.
