gnome-shell slows down after a few suspend/resume dock/undock cycles
This is an issue I've been dealing with for a couple of months now and have only just now found the time to actually report. So, my laptop seems to slow down with gnome-shell pretty dramatically after a while. I'm not entirely sure of a more concise reproduction recipe then this other than suspending/resuming the machine a good number of times, along with docking it into my thunderbolt 3 dock (with an MST hub hooked up with two monitors attached to said hub). When it slows down, the framerate feels like it drops to 10 FPS or less for all of the shell animations. Dragging windows becomes difficult, as the mouse acceleration seems to drop significantly as well when trying to drag windows. I've unfortunately confirmed that unlike last time, this doesn't seem to have anything to do with i915 and bogus waitboost issues :(.
Seen on Fedora 27, kernel 4.15.13 gnome-shell version 3.26.2. Attached journalctl logs from the last time I saw this happen as well
Systemd log (with NetworkManager/dnsmasq stripped out of the log, since there's some potentially confidential stuff there) log.txt
System this was seen on: Razer Blade stealth, using i915 as the GPU driver. GPU:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation HD Graphics 620 [8086:5916] (rev 02)
