VPN and/or bad network can freeze whole gnome-shell
Usecase: WLAN via Mobilephone. Mobilephone has bad or no network-connection. I try to login, but the shell does not react on mouse or keyboard. It took a few seconds to a minute or more, then screen goes black and comes again up. Then i can login to gnome-shell (unlock my session).
If I'm on a railwaystation or airport with public wifi, and i try to login after suspend my laptop, login blocks for a short to long time, because the network wants a connection-page to accept user-policy, which won't work on GDM.
Maybe this is a problem of sssd... which i use also.
BUT try to renew my VPN-connection on a bad network (wifi) blocks the whole shell for a while (minute or longer). After that block i get a notification that connection could not bring up.
It seems, connection to vpn is not asynchron.
thank you
