window-list: Low contrast on window and workspace button backgrounds
With gnome-shell-extensions 45.1 on Fedora 39, I struggle to see the outline of the window list buttons. The first issue makes using the list feel uncomfortable - I can see that there's a UI element there, but I can't fully make it out, so I end up struggling to pick it out.
The luminosity values of the bar background and the button background is 0 and 11 respectively. This gets a low contrast score of 1:2:1. For comparison, the buttons in the quick settings menu don't cause me the same issue and only have a marginally better contrast score (1:3:1), so I'm wondering if there might be other factors at work, like the small amount of padding and the outline of the bar and the position on screen. If I bump up the lightness of the button background, it doesn't seem to help a huge amount.
We could consider switching to an outline or dropping background altogether.
