41 killed support for (media-)keys
After upgrading to gnome 41 media-keys are gone.
while in lastest gdm3 media-keys work, in the session itself they are gone. sound-up / down / mute gconf-keys were not there anymore, a reset did recreate them, but they dont work (X86xys is triggered, keystrokes are present). in gui i see 'not available' keybindings.
did a gsettings reset org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.media-keys screen-brightness-down also with up, cycle, cycle-static etc. nothing worked, btw: i have no gui-options to set screen-brightness like i have with sound-up etc.
initially after the update from gnome 40.5, mac-keyboard was not recognized anymore and no possibility to choose it. after recreating upper (and some other) gconf-entries, at least the keyboard could be chosen again.
when i try to set an own keybinding like 'alt'+'t' for a terminal, the binding is recognized and shown, but if i press the buttons, nothing happens.
what could i do? this situation is highly frustrating, maybe i should use plasma (latest nvidia 470, wayland; problems are the same under x11).
Thank you for your help.
