"Mouse battery low" notification keeps popping up
Hi!
Summary
The "mouse battery low" notification is aggravating.
(1) It is unusable
This notification:
- can't be disabled
- has no snooze/dont-remind-me-until-it-dies button
- unexpectedly opens the power settings if clicked
- can only be dismissed by clicking the tiny X button
- stays on-screen forever if not dismissed
- does not respect the "do not disturb" flag
(2) It keeps popping up
Some devices like the Logitech mouse I own:
- have a very long battery life (I haven't changed it in years)
- have a battery indicator on the device (bright green right now)
- auto-suspend after one minute of inactivity
Every time I use the keyboard, the mouse goes to sleep, and as soon as I move it again (ie, every few minutes) I get the "mouse battery low (10%)" persistent on-screen notification which eats the top of my screen.
It requires me to manually close it every single time the mouse wakes up from sleep.
If I'm not lucky I miss the small X button and it opens the Power settings...
Throwing away a perfectly fine battery to get rid of this notification is not acceptable.
System info
I'm using Fedora 32 with stock Gnome 3.36.2.
