Scale cursor on “big text” universal access option switch (?)

Description
GNOME Shell’s universal access “zoom” functionality makes all that’s in a zone bigger, including the cursor. Looks like that’s a big need for accessibility[1], nothing surprising here. But shouldn’t Shell’s “big text” option also do that? What’s the use of this function if it doesn’t temporarily help someone to better see the screen, so including where he clicks?
Alternatively, this option should only act on the windows, and not on the Shell itself… (but in this case, a fixed setting of the size of the font of the Shell and of the cursor is needed).
Note that I don’t have the need of this function, so maybe I’m misunderstanding something.
