OOM killer brings down session with systemd
Fedora 31 updated 22nd November
$ rpm -q mutter gnome-session systemd evolution
mutter-3.34.1-11.fc31.x86_64
gnome-session-3.34.1-3.fc31.x86_64
systemd-243.4-1.fc31.x86_64
evolution-3.34.1-1.fc31.x86_64
With low-memory-monitor installed and the OOM killer enabled, I regularly get some applications on the system getting killed after they use too much RAM, usually Evolution or Firefox on my system. When Evolution gets killed, it seems to bring be considered as an essential part of XWayland, brings down XWayland, which brings down large parts of gnome-settings-daemon and then gnome-shell and then the session.
Output of systemctl --user
after restarting the session:
systemctl-user.txt
