gnome-remote-desktop rdp server could be better tied to systemd service
the gnome-remote-desktop system service performs multiple roles:
- Configuration introspection/management
- RDP Server
sysadmins may find it confusing that querying the configuration can actually cause the RDP server to start.
We could fix this two ways:
- separate the two roles into two servers
- Only allow the RDP server to start if the systemd service is enabled.
2 might be the easiest to do, though it would have the counterintuitive behavior of making systemctl start gnome-remote-desktop
not necessarily start the rdp server (if the admin didn't do systemctl enable gnome-remote-desktop
) first.
