Fix Nextcloud user domain and building issues

Isaque Galdino de Araujo requested to merge fix-nextcloud-user-domain-40 into gnome-40-0

We're still working on the UI changes and we won't be able to release Notes in the near future, so I've cherry picked the commits from master in order to release point release for the 40 version.

This should help users with this problem #171 (closed) and #186.
