Memory use increases every time an album is viewed
- Music version: 42.1, and Nightly flatpak
- OS: Arch Linux with Gnome Shell 42.2 on Wayland
I observe that every time I click an album and go back to the album list, memory use of Music increases by some MB. That memory isn't released until Music is quit. Even if I repeatedly click only the same album this happens.
As a test I did this:
- I opened Music, let it finish loading album art
- Music shows using 819 MB memory (in Usage)
- I clicked the first album in the list, then the back button, and repeated this 50 times
- Music now is using 954 MB memory
- Repeated another 50 times clicking the 1st album and back
- Music is now using 1.1 GB memory
This is with Music 42.1 native on Arch Linux. It's also reproducible with the Nightly flatpak.
Now I don't know who is going to click 100 albums in a day but still; this looks like memory is being allocated for album view and isn't being freed after? If I can provide more info I'm happy to help.
