No way to deselect a pinpoint
System information
GNOME Map 46.0 (Flatpak version)
GNOME 45.2 on Wayland
Ubuntu 23.10
Steps to reproduce
- Click on a location
- Check that the pinpoint icon replaced the original icon
- Wait for the popover window to load
- Click outside it or press
esc
once to close the popover - Click outside it or press
esc
again to de-select the location
Expected outcome
The location should be de-selected (i.e. the pinpoint icon removed)
Observed outcome
The location continues to be selected (i.e. the pinpoint icon doesn't disappear/is not replaced by the original location icon).
This makes it hard to tell what the original icon was if you selected it accidentally. The big size of the pinpoint icon also obstructs one's view of textual labels, hindering visual navigation.
