When hovering an intermediate stop route point in the Directions sidebar, highlight the corresponding point on the map's itinerary
When you are doing a multi-point itinerary, and you want to reorder some things around using the sidebar, it is hard to know what is what, because intermediate destinations created by right-clicking the map all show up with latitude and longitude coordinates, which are not exactly readable for most humans:
Short of having a way to display a "hint" next to that textentry about the "Near [some POI]" location of those coordinates, the most straightforward thing I could think of, that we usually see in other mapping UIs, is to dynamically enlarge and highlight the map view point corresponding to the row being hovered by the mouse in the Directions sidebar.
