Additional information
I may come off as angry, which, to some extent, I am, but I will soften substantially if anyone can point me towards ways to find (and provide) log info that could shine a light on, what may have gone wrong, in order get into my keyring.
Stray thoughts include the possibility that the keyring, since it has been dormant for a number of years, has been encrypted with a now obsolete cipher, and that I may have missed accessing it under a version where it could have been migrated to a newer cipher - this is just speculation, though, so any pointers to where I can find any output from Seahorse to provide will be much appreciated!
