Text is butted up directly against the left side of the font preview display
When seen in screenshots like https://mastodon.social/@tbernard/105821880000517245 the GNOME Fonts application unfortunately doesn't look as polished as some other GNOME apps. The main issue here is that the font preview text is butted up directly against the left window border without any padding.
Using the GtkInspector, I've added the following CSS with good results:
widget.view {
padding: 18px;
}
but it looks like GNOME fonts doesn't currently have any application-specific CSS which that could be added to, and the selector used seems kind of… non-specific? So I'm not sure what code changes would be involved in actually applying the padding for real.
The 18px padding was suggested by Tobias Bernard, I originally tried 6px which also gives ok results (it causes the left edge of the preview text to be aligned matching the leftmost button in the headerbar).
