Show whether UASP is supported for USB disks
It would be very useful if gnome-disks could show the USB protocol used, whether it's "USB Storage" or UASP, as UASP allows higher transfer speeds, especially with Flash-based USB disks.
Whether a disk supports UASP is available through the USB interfaces it exposes. The presence of bInterfaceProtocol 98
in lsbusb is the giveaway.
Whether the device is using UASP or usb-storage on a particular system is available by looking at the driver it's bound to, whether usb-storage
or uas
.
I don't however know how to see:
- if the system's USB controller supports it
- if the device supports UAS but the
uas
driver refuses to use it that way (as opposed to the controller not supporting it)
(Feel free to copy the information in a bug report against udisks2 if all this information isn't exported yet)
Maybe @jwrdegoede can help with those last 2 questions.
