Description
Please describe the problem: The new cross-fade effect uses 100% of one of my CPU cores. I read somewhere that this effect should be hardware accelerated, but that's not what seems to be going on with my machine.
Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 (2GHz) Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)
My screen resolution is 1920x1200, and I have Compiz running without any hiccups.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open Gnome System Monitor
- Right-click on desktop > "change desktop background"
- Select a Desktop
- Watch CPU (in Gnome System Monitor) jump to 100%
