Request for power panel: let user choose between suspend and hibernate (if available) as idle actions
Dear GNOME community!
I would like to suggest making it possible to choose what exactly the computer will do if idle via Settings. Currently for each of "on AC power" and "on battery power", Settings only provides possibility to enable or disable suspend, but gsettings keys sleep-inactive-battery-type
and sleep-inactive-ac-type
under org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power
also support hibernate, which may be preferable in certain situations (e.g., if a laptop discharges quickly when in suspend mode).
Since we already have an option to configure power key to perform any of suspend, hibernate and shutdown, I believe adding such an option can make power configuration a bit more intuitive and consistent.
Thanks in advance!
