Suspend the machine after switching resolution Gnome crashed
Problem Description:
The display quit unexpectedly(application crashed) during lid close (suspend) - lid open (resume) operation after screen resolution was changed from 1920x1200(16:10) to 1600x900(16:9) on Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12 with Fedora 40 OS and gnome 46.1.

Steps to reproduce:
- Install Fedora 40 on Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 12.
- Open display settings and change the resolution to 1920x1200(16:10)
- Close the lid. The system enters suspend mode.
- Open the lid. The system resumes.
- Open display settings and change the resolution to 1600x900(16:9). --> keypoint
- Close the lid. The system enters suspend mode.
- Open the lid. The system resumes. --> Displays quit unexpectedly. Application crashed.
