Settings page is half light theme, half dark theme simultaneously (GNOME 44)
After updating my Debian Sid system, GNOME Settings shows as half light theme (the left side bar is light) and half dark theme (the right side bar is dark).
Things I tried
I tried to reinstall GNOME Shell and GNOME Settings with:
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get install --reinstall gnome-shell gnome-control-center
After rebooting, I see the same behavior. The left side bar changes color when I toggle between light and dark themes, but the main window color stays dark all the time.
I also tried running dconf watch /
(as my normal user, i.e., not root) and /org/gnome/desktop/interface/color-scheme
switches between 'prefer-dark'
and 'default'
as I'd expect. Same for gsettings get org.gnome.desktop.interface color-scheme
.

Steps to reproduce:
I don't really have steps to reproduce because I'm not sure what caused this in the first place. Maybe there's a setting somewhere that I can try resetting?
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks for working on GNOME!
