Too easy to accidentally disable critical network
Steps to reproduce:
- Open GNOME Settings
- Open the Network section
- Click anywhere in the wired network area except the gear
What happens:
Network gets immediately disabled, session locks up as the home directory is via NFS, the user is via LDAP, etc. Only way out is a hard reboot of the machine.
What should happen:
GNOME should provide some resistance to make sure this is what the user wants to do, and wasn't an accidental action. E.g. a "Are you sure?" popup.
Additional notes:
It might be relevant to look at the top right menu in GNOME Shell as well, although it isn't as easy to accidentally click.
