Subproject .wrap files are being added to commits

When making commits, the subproject .wrap files get added without being explicitly altered. Also, it's not possible to unstage to subproject alterations because the following error appears:

object not found - no match for id (7a621180b46421e356b33972e3446775a504139c)

Seems that gitignore isn't being used for this directory.
