Bluetooth headset needs to be disconnected and reconnected to function properly
- Product: Gnome Control Center 3.28.3, 3.30+ (master)
- Distribution: Fedora 28 (64 bit)
Description:
When pairing a new bluetooth headset, everything works as expected.
However, when connecting the headset again, the audio output is initially incorrect, and only outputs in mono. Moreover, I can hear my own echo (it seems the laptop mic input is directed to the headset).
To make the headset work properly, it is enough to disconnect it (from the bluetooth panel) and reconnect it again.
I have attached a screencast to show the issue (without the sound unfortunately). Screencast_from_03-10-18_21_03_43
I am turning the headset on immediately after the start of the screencast. Note that changing the sink (at 0:16) has no effect.
Let me know if I can provide you with any additional information.
