Fractional scaling on X1 Carbon 6th gen doesn't work (worked with F36)
Affected version
F37 Beta with Wayland mutter 43.0
Bug summary
Upgraded 2 thinkpads X1 carbon 6th gen and 8th gen Sunday Oct 2, 2022. Both were using fractional scaling successfully under F36. Using F37 beta, updated the 6th gen offers to switch scaling by 25% increments but any selection other than 200% gives "This could be due to hardware limitations", even 100% (and the Apply button is greyed out.
Steps to reproduce
- Activate fractional scaling by typing gsettings set org.gnome.mutter experimental-features "['scale-monitor-framebuffer']"
- Log out / restart
- Try to switch laptop resolution
What happened
Any selection other than 200% gives "This could be due to hardware limitations", even 100% (and the Apply button is greyed out.
What did you expect to happen
To be able to switch to 150% ;-)
