Android USB tethering no longer working on gnome 41
Hi, i'm having this issue with android USB tethering after i update to fedora 35 (gnome 41).
It was working on gnome 40:
- after connecting and enabling USB tethering on my phone, my PC is connected to a USB Ethernet
- after a while it disconnect, and needs user's attention to connect to mobile connection
- it stays connected
it was working better on 3.38:
- after connecting and enabling USB tethering on my phone, my PC is connected to a USB Ethernet
- it stays connected without any additional step
Steps to reproduce:
-
connect my phone to my PC with USB cable
-
enable USB tethering on my phone
-
PC is connected to USB Ethernet, wait for a while until Ethernet network disappear
-
mobile connection appears on shell/settings app
-
try to connect using either through shell/setting
-
no matter which profile i choose, my PC can't get connected to internet, stuck on connecting animation:
-
bonus: there's no way to remove network profile (APN) on setting, they just spamming my connection list on shell, it looks like making new copy if i press edit button. i have to run nm-connection-editor to remove them
