Since upgrade, Gnome doesn't respect Touchpad settings for USB touchpad without toggling it
I have an apple magic touchpad attached as a USB device to my Pop!_OS laptop. Before I upgraded to 3.38, the settings of the USB touchpad mirrored the on-device touchpad. Now, it requires going to Settings > Mouse & Touchpad and manually toggling two settings:
- Natural Scrolling from on to off to on again. Otherwise the USB device acts like it is off.
- Touchpad Speed: move the bar anywhere, then back to where I want it. Otherwise it's quite slow.
I'm opening this in settings because I suspect it's related to settings being applied to new devices. I could be wrong of course, please move it as needed.
Steps to reproduce:
- Plug in usb trackpad to Pop!_OS device
- Immediately feel the settings are wrong
- Adjust as mentioned above.
