Touchpad not working after update

Detailed description of the issue. Put as much information as you can, potentially with images showing the issue.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Update to version 1:3.36.4-0ubuntu2 amd64
  2. Open GNOME Settings
  3. Navigate to mouse & touchpad settings

Touchpad settings are missing.

On some lenovo thinkpad products the touchpad becomes unresponsive after coming back from sleep link. There is a permanent fix for this, that used to work with gnome-control-panel version 1:3.36.1-1ubuntu5. But with the new version of gnome-control-panel (1:3.36.4-0ubuntu2) right click and scroll does not work with- and without this fix (right after boot).

I managed to restore my pc to an 2 day old state with timeshift and pinned gnome-control-center to version 1:3.36.1-1ubuntu5. Then I ran apt upgrade and rebooted my pc, but it works fine now with the old version.
