Wacom Tablet Settings Cannot Uniquely Identify Display
When mapping pen input to a specific display in the Wacom Tablet settings, the settings are not taking effect.
The Wacom Tablet settings use a combination of Vendor, Product ID, and Serial Number to identify a display. When multiple identical displays are attached, this is not sufficient to uniquely reference a particular device.
For instance, I have two identical Acer displays attached. When using the "Map to Monitor..." button in the Wacom Tablet settings, both displays are correctly listed for outputs "DP-2" and "DP-3". However, upon changing to a different output, irrespective of choice, the value "['ACR', 'XF270HU', 'T78EE0048521']" is written to the dconf key "/org/gnome/desktop/peripherals/tablets/056a:00b5/output". This is not sufficient to uniquely identify the display, so no change in behavior is observed.
