When automatic geolocation is disabled in GNOME Settings, disable the GtkSwitch widget for it in GNOME Calendar, and show a visual indication that location must be manually entered
Derived from issue #954 (closed): if automatic geolocation is not possible, the backend should adapt, and the UI should make that clear.
- Disabling the auto location GtkSwitch in the frontend and backend
- Renaming, adding a warning icon or
⚠ ️ emoji (with informative GtkTooltip), or replacing the GtkSwitch by an informative GtkLabel, to let the user know that the location search entry below it must be used
