Calendar does not account for time zone after editing a calendar entry added using ICS file
Affected version
OS: POP! OS 21.10
GNOME Calendar version: 41.0
Bug summary
I added an entry using an ICS file and the calendar added the correct time zone. But, after I added it, the time was changed.
Steps to reproduce
- Add an event using an ICS file with a time zone different from local time zone.
- Edit the entry.
- Make some change (for ex, add a notification) and click done.
What happened
The ICS file had the following TZID and TZURL:
TZID:America/New_York
TZURL:http://tzurl.org/zoneinfo-outlook/America/New_York
The event was at 12:00PM in that time zone and at 9.30 PM in my time zone (IST). Calendar added the event at 9.30 PM. Then, I edited it to add notifications. After clicking "Done" in the edit dialogue the time changed to 12.00 PM.
What did you expect to happen
The time should have remained at 9.30 PM, i.e, it should account for time zone even after editing an event.
