Failure to update week heading when working in Week view
Affected version
- Fedora Linux 39 (Workstation Edition)
- GNOME Calendar 45.1 (gnome-calendar-45.1-1.fc39.x86_64)
Bug summary
When working in Week view, selecting the first day of the next week appears to force a refresh of the agenda section of the calendar, but not the week heading. In other words, the events for the intended week will be shown, but will misleadingly be labeled as the current week.
Clicking the first day of the current week and then re-clicking the first day of the next week appears to update the view.
See the attached video demonstrating the behavior.
Steps to reproduce
- Using the current date of April 19 as an example, click on April 21 in the side bar
- Observe that the events for the week of April 21-27 are displayed in the events area, but the week heading still displays April 14-20.
- Click on April 14 in the sidebar (for example) and observe that the events view is now correctly displayed again for the current week.
- Click on April 21 again in the sidebar, and now observe that both the events view and the week heading are correctly displayed.
What happened
GNOME Calendar displayed the events for the intended week, but mislabeled the week as the current one.
What did you expect to happen
I expected GNOME Calendar to label the week correctly.
Relevant logs, screenshots, screencasts etc.
Please see the attached video demonstrating the behavior, with several example events added for visual clarity.
