User is not notified about being logged out of online account upon launch or when manually syncing (F5)
Affected version
OS: Arch Linux Gnome Calendar version: 46.0
Bug summary
I noticed that the events I added to the calendar didn't sync with my online calendar or my phone. I tried clicking on "Synchronize Calendars" several times but nothing happened. I then went to the three dots, and then Online Calendars... and there I saw that I had for some inexplicable reason been logged out of my Google account, and this was the reason for my syncing problems.
Steps to reproduce
- Somehow manage to log out of your Online Account
- Notice how Gnome Calendar does not tell you anything about this, even when trying to sync. Actually, you should be notified on an OS level too since the Online Accounts is managed by the OS.
- Go to the three dots >> Online Accounts and you will see a
⚠ ️ next to your account.
What happened
What did GNOME Calendar do that was unexpected? No notification that I have to log in again. Also, why was I even logged out?
What did you expect to happen
I expect the program to tell me that I've been logged out when starting the program, and again when trying to sync.
