Keep last conversion options at launch
Hi!
This is a regression, as it was working like so a year or two ago. I don’t know why I didn’t open this issue before as this has been a small daily annoyance, but here I am now
I use Calculator as my go-to app to make quick calculations (my keyboard has a calculator button, so it’s super easy to access).
One of the main use I have for it is to convert currency values, as I live in a country with a different currency as the one I am more familiar with.
Before an update one or two years ago, it used to be that Calculator would keep the last conversion preferences (type and units). So I could just open the app, type a number, and my result would be there already.
Since that change, when I open the app, it always defaults to Angle / Degrees to Degrees. I never convert angles (and also why is it the same unit on both sides?), so this is useless to me. Selecting the two currencies take far too much time each time, so I end up not using Calculator for this that often any more, but I still open it from muscle memory most times.
Could you consider reestablishing the previous behaviour of keeping the last conversion options at each launch? Thanks!
(using version 44.0 on GNOME 44.3 on Ubuntu 23.04, although I believe this was introduced one or a few versions before)
