App needs a backspace button for touch users
Gnome mobile shell v44.0 Gnome-calculator v44.0
Description:
Currently, users on a touchscreen-only device, such as phone or tablet, cannot do a simple backspace to the display. The key that looks like a backspace actually just clears the whole display. The only way to backspace is to make the on-screen keyboard pop up (#333), and use a second keyboard to backspace.
Suggested action:
I think it would be helpful to add a backspace key somewhere, possibly to the far right of the math display, so it is always in a consistent place, and so users can easily click it to backspace. The current icon for the clear button would work well, and the clear button icon could maybe be changed to "A/C" for "All Clear" which is more consistent with hardware (and most software) calculators, and the backspace symbol currently in use is more commonly used as backspace anyways.
