Steps to reproduce
On a Debian system:
- Attempt to build an Autotools project.
-OR-
- Attempt to open a new build or runtime terminal (from the upper-left menu or hotkey).
-OR-
- Create and then trigger a shell command (e.g.
echo hello
).
Current behavior
All of the above actions result in the following error:
/bin/sh: 0: Illegal option --
Expected behavior
The build/terminal/command should operate as intended.
Additional information
On Debian /bin/sh
is dash
, which only supports short-form option flags:
$ sh --login -c 'echo hi'
sh: 0: Illegal option --
$ sh -l -c 'echo hi'
hi
